Vincent Appearance and Personality
Age: Appears 27-28
Height: 6’0”
Body type: Wiry, lithe; extremely narrow waist. Graceful limbs; his right hand is elegant, with tapered fingers like a musician’s (his left is a prosthetic - see ‘skin’ below for details). His muscles are lean like a dancer’s.Skin: He is very pale; Pantone 39-9 C on the Humanae Project site is probably the closest. His left arm was amputated near the elbow and replaced with a brass metal prosthetic like a suit of armor’s gauntlet. The claw's wrist and fingers are articulated and the fingers are talon- or claw-like. (see references for claw details.)Face: A classically beautiful face. His features are delicate but masculine, like a deer. He has a straight, narrow nose. His eyes are red and glow faintly.Hair and body hair: Vincent has long, straight black hair which is almost always messy/tangled. Close acquaintances are permitted to play with or braid it. [note: i prefer his hair more smooth/flowy like the original game art [fourth reference image], and less crunchy/spiky than it is in dirge of cerberus art [last reference image]]Attitude/personality: Vincent is reserved and aloof on the surface, and quietly sarcastic and insightful around those who know him best.Clothing: Vincent wears all black. He does not show much/any skin at all. His knee-high boots have long metal toes. He wears a long red cape, which is sometimes tattered and sometimes not (see above) and whose collar comes almost to his nose.

i have a bfa in experimental animation, and i have a ba in history.i'm currently enrolled in a historical studies master's program, and anticipate finishing my work there in 2024. my thesis will examine historicity in video games - specifically, identifying real-world influences in final fantasy xiv and considering how those real events were altered for their fictional depictions in the game's environment and world. is eorzea a compelling introduction to medieval and other historical topics for people who might not otherwise be familiar with them?if, like me, you're into medievalisms, explorations of medieval gender and femininity/masculinity, sexuality, religion and religious life, saints and their lives and other literatures, pilgrimage, art and architecture in sacred spaces, and other Stuff along those lines, come say hi on twitter!
